The Honda Accord had its Debut in the Boston Area in 1976. Since its first year in the US, it has become one of the best-selling Japanese models in America. In fact, in 1989 it became the best selling car in the US, a position it held for a decade and a half.

Initially the Honda Accord was only offered to Bostonians as a hatchback, a few years later being offered as a sedan. The first Accords in the area were sub-compacts, but over the years the Accord has grown in size with each new generation, until becoming the Mid-size sedan sold today.

The Accord has achieved considerable success in the Boston Market. In the America it was the best-selling Japanese car for fifteen years in a row from 1982 until 1997.

Currently the Accord is in its Ninth generation, (2012–present).

Known for being at the forefront of advances in technology, all current model Honda Accords come standard with an LCD display screen, as well as an indash backup camera. In addition, all Accords now come with the "i-MID system". This includes the Bluetooth hands-free calling, texting, streaming audio, USB connector, dual zone climate control, as well as alloy wheels.

These late-model Accords are a far cry from the spartan models of the 1970s.
